We got busy here over Easter. I put the plans for the lounge together! Mood board done, paint & primer bought, wall measured, picture ledge on order! I can't wait to see it come to life. The plan is that while me and Baby L visit my family, hubby will keep busy and tackle the painting and install my long desired picture ledge/shelf. And I will do the styling when we return. Ombre has been around for a while now, and it's gone from curtains to bedding, rugs to vases, to pretty much every soft furnishing and accessory you can think of. So naturally, it has been taken to the next step... and it can not only accessorize a room, but be the theme and feature of it. Ombre flooring and wall coverings are in, I was pleased to see during my visit to the Ideal Home Show last week that it was featured in the room sets designed by Sophie Robinson. I have been thinking for a while about re-doing our hallway, which is quite petite in the world of hallways, but doesn't deserve any less love for that reason! Ok, we don't 'spend time' in the hallway, it is pretty much where we put our shoes on and rush out, or the opposite (rush in/shoes off), it is a functional space, which needs clever storage to look inviting and tidy at all times. Two years ago we bought our first home and moved in to what was a blank canvas, literally!
