Take your Bathrooms & Walls to the next level!

Decorex had so many talented designers and great products that I just have to share my final two picks from this year's show!  This is going waaaay beyond high street shopping and looking at real statement features. I can't wait to show you!  Juliet Travers stood out for me with such an interesting range of fabrics and wallpapers. All the designs are hand drawn by Juliet, and having launched their first collection at Decorex 2013, they have been on the road to success already selling in many countries. How could they not though, with such exceptionally fun and intriguing designs!  One of my favourites is the Nakuru from the Safari Collection, a beautiful interpretation of the Flamingos from Lake Nakuru...

Wrapping Paper not just for Wrapping?

This post is about using gift wrapping paper to decorate multiple rooms in the house, and in many different ways! Have you thought of that? It first occurred to me when I was shopping for stationary and I saw a beautiful paper on display, and I instantly thought 'I could actually frame that!' It is a very affordable way to change the look in your rooms and add bags of style! Since then I have been looking for ideas and also for wrapping paper out there with the most potential to be used as decoration. Part 2: High-end, Luxury and Green!

A few days ago I posted the first part of my visit to Florense, a stunning furniture and interiors store in Sao Paulo (you can find the first part here), so here is what else I got to see whilst visiting them. Let's continue the tour... The bedroom set up was just breathtaking. A wardrobe with mother-of-pearl finish, a mix of ebony and turquoise furniture, a side-table to die for and equally stylish pendants. But the best kept-secret (and probably something every woman would love to own), was the dressing table with a glass top showcasing a display of accessories underneath! And with plenty of space to organise them by colour, season, or however you wish. #dreambedroom or what? It was time...

Part 1 of 2: High-End, Luxury and Green!

During my last trip to Sao Paulo I visited one of Florense's showrooms and I was impressed not only at the quality and finish but also at the fantastic design options they have to offer! Be warned, this is the first one of two picture heavy posts as I walk you through my visit and tempt you with their original designs! Florense is one of the main names in high-end furniture across 72 cities around the world, 60 of those showrooms are located in Brazil, and you can see the other locations in the map pictured. It offers high design and luxury for projects of any size and uses ecologically correct manufacturing processes which have earned them an environmental certification recognised...

10 Most Recent Additions to our Home!

We are talking about home decor here... Last month I was really inspired to accessorise some of our rooms and I got a few new items for our home, some for pure décor purposes, some with practical uses, and some just because they looked cool. Why not? And ok, the amount of emails I got to browse the sale offers in July along with new collections was unbelievable... and tempting. So here we go, my 10 most recent additions: The tea light holders below are a H&M find and the colours go so well in our guest bedroom (which is an ongoing project at the moment!). I've added battery operated faux candles, as they are safer around babies (still not quite baby-friendly though) I...
