Five ways to dress your home for Easter (and more!)

Easter is only a few days away, but fear not if you have not yet ticked things off your to-do list, or if you're adopting the last-minute approach because... well life gets in the way! There is still time to make it look as though you've been planning for a month to impress the kids, family, friends, whoever it is that you'll be hosting this weekend!

We have picked five easy ways to dress your home (and one to reward yourself at the end!) Some of them will require some DIY, but nothing that a trip to hobby craft and/or the supermarket can't resolve. If you've got kids on a school break this will also be a fun way to keep them busy...

1- first impressions: the door wreath

The queen of DIY Melanie Lissack has come up with the best way to - in her own words - achieve the best wreath in town for only a few quid! And WOW, what a wreath! If you want to create some wreath-envy in your neighbourhood, just follow her tutorial here

2-  the easter backdrop wall

Now that you've dressed the door, it's time for the walls! This balloon backdrop tutorial by Oh Happy Day is a great eye catching, wow-inducing idea! Great for kids and Insta-worthy shots.

3- easter hanging decorations

A quick and easy way to get some decs up without too much effort and time, and get instant Easter magic going in any room! There are so many ways to use them, here's some of them:

  • You can hang them on a branch tree (that you can recycle from Christmas!), you can pick up your own branches and use them au naturel or spray paint them for added effect
  • Hang them on a ribbon or yarn to create a bunting style decoration
  • Use them to add a finishing touch to your Easter eggs
  • Use them as place holders

5- time for a treat: mini eggs white chocolate fudge

Because making your table look pretty is part of dressing your home! Another one for the whole family, and surprisingly a four-ingredient recipe! That's it! Could it get any better? Easy and yummy, check it out on Eats Amazing.

And finally, after you've done all the decorating and cooking... it's time to reward yourself with an Easter cocktail!

There are so many recipes to choose from, even if you're having a dry Easter for any reason, Easter mocktail recipes are also very popular!

I've pinned a few on my Easter Pinterest Board, as I'm still growing a mini me (38 weeks pregnant this Easter!) so I'll be trying some out.. Whether you go for the real thing or faux, make it look pretty and enjoy it!

Now if only I could, I would be having this one...
