Spring days out with the family & WeeRide Review

Bringing the outdoors in has been one of the most talked about trends in Interiors this year, and now that the summer is around the corner there has been also a lot of talk about taking the indoors out, which is a really interesting concept and we will leave it for another post as there is so much inspiration to share on that!

for now though i just wanted to share something really cool that we have been doing as a family!

My little one is now so much more aware of her surroundings and also demanding of activities, being true to her age, as a typical two and a half year old little person who has her needs.

As we face brighter and longer days, and have high expectations of a great summer ahead (don't we expect that every year?!), we have finally been able to enjoy spending time outdoors... We do a lot of walking as a family time permitting when the sun is out, so we needed an alternative.

Which is why we have decided to try out WeeRide, as Mr Room Alive is a keen cyclist and she is keen on doing anything outdoorsy. We had been thinking of getting her a bike seat for a while now, and WeeRide seemed just perfect!

Our dog joined in the fun, and treated herself to a good scratch on the grass (on the right) after chasing them on the bike!

The child seat is centre mounted which means our little one sits between us and the handle bars, and there is also a handy head rest which they can lean on. Lia used it to hold on to, and that made her feel safer as she kept saying 'faster Daddy, faster'. Adventure seeker, she is!

Installing it was easy and the seat can also be removed quickly for solo riding. As you'd expect with a seat being placed in front of you, the seating position has to be adjusted slightly, but it's perfect for a weekend morning leisure ride with the kids. The Mr said it was really nice to have her quite close to him and narrating the journey as she would describe everything she would see, so he heard a lot of "dog coming, men running closer, yellow flowers, one two three trees' and on and on it goes...

I can't wait to try it on my bike when I'm no longer growing a mini person... Have you tried a child bike seat? I'd love to hear your experience!
