Luxury Interiors @Decorex

I recently visited Decorex, THE place to be to discover the best and most coveted luxury products in the Interior Design world. It basically is paradise for great design, amazing talent, and fresh interior decor ideas all under one roof. There was so much to see and so much to take in! A few observations...

  • There was a LOT of wall covering stands. Understandably so, and they are getting more innovative every year! Also, if you are thinking of starting a business in wall coverings, BEWARE there is a lot of competition out there. Really, a lot so you need to do something different to stand out. I have found a few that did, as you'll see!
  • The same goes for fabrics. Upholstering, soft furnishings, curtains. Even curtains with integrated LED lighting. Very original, not the thing you'd want in your living room unless it was Christmas, but it could work in a commercial design, hotel or restaurant.
  • It was great to meet some of the designers and understand where the products/businesses started up! Often we don't get that when we shop, but meeting the designers and understanding the process behind it really adds another dimension to choosing your products!

Here's a selection of my favourite pieces. Most of them, not all as I will talk about my top favourites in separate posts, because they deserve that much more attention :)

  1. "Iroko Wallcoverings", by Black Edition. I couldn't stop staring at it! The mix of texture and pattern is just to die for. Must-have!
  2. The "In Stock" collection by Robert Langford, these bed side tables...

3. This geometric wallpaper by Villa Nova. Simple yet striking!

4. This "Tarnished Steel Cupboard" from Ochre. Absolutely stunning, don't you think?

  5. If you're looking for a Green Home, Bert & May has got the answer! Every square inch of their 2 bedroom box cabin is eco-friendly, unique and brings bags of style.   IMG_0580

6. "Colorado Live-Edge Table" by Sentient Furniture. This one comes all the way from New York. The glass filled gap does it for me.

7.  This footstool from Sofa.com is super cute, modern, inviting, cosy all at the same time.

Aren't they amazing? I am dying to get some projects where I can use some (or all?) of these soon!

Coming soon: my TOP Favourites from Decorex!
