Christmas @theRoomAlive

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas! What a whirlwind it has been here!  Christmas has come and gone and it's always sad when you spend two months (let's face it, as soon as Halloween was gone Christmas decs went up everywhere!) planning every detail of how you will make this day so special, and then it's all over for another year!

We were so busy that I didn't even get to share how we got ready for Christmas over here... those of you that follow me on Instagram would have seen a bit of it.

So I decided to keep the magic alive for a few more days by showing you what we have done here...

Our petite - as I like to call her - Christmas tree took place right next to the reindeer in its prime position iproudly takes every year! I love the size contrast they create and the textures they added to the room!

To make up for the absence of our bigger tree, I wanted fairy lights and objects that would scream festivity! This terrarium from The White Company was the perfect start, I added a mix of baubles and wire fairy lights and it became a great feature.

The dinner table also showcased fairy lights and textures, the contrast created when the rustic runners sit on top of the table cloth is one of my favourite details, along with the wire fairy lights in glass jars. I would have gone mad with the candles (instead of being very conservative with them as I have) but I had to keep it toddler-friendly.

A few more details around our home, the white branch tree is one of our favourite Christmas decs and I always add mini baubles to make it fun. And did I mention fairy lights? Yeah, they were everywhere and of course the picture ledge didn't escape their charm, I'll miss the fairy lights once the decorations are gone...  Christmas may be just gone but you know how a designer job is never finished?! I have already started pinning on my Christmas Inspiration board for next year! I want fun colourful sparkly decorations, bright pink and gold, the pictures below are really inspiring.
